Two Quilts with same Panel -- totally different looks!

These are my last two quilts of 2020. I love how different fabric gives a totally different feel to the same Christmas panel. The first fabrics were selected with a male in mind and the second selection of fabrics is more traditional and with symmetry.  Happy Holidays!

Digital Christmas Tree Quilt

 Christmas tree quilt

This quilt was created for a friend. When I saw the digital panel and purchased from Stone Soup Batiks in South Bend, IN, I loved the aurora lights background and use of pinks, purples, and blues. I decided to add a ribbon border made from blue aurora colored fabrics (first ever attempted ribbon pattern). I wanted to keep it small enough not to distract from the panel but also to add a new dimension to the quilt. I am happy with the result and then the long armed design used as well.  (T & C)

Tea Time Quilt

This quilt is made with a free pattern from Jordan Fabrics entitled Tea Time. It is very random in its pattern (which is still growing on me as I like symmetry and ordered patterns but wanted to get out of my comfort Zone. The fabric I love is called Whisk you a Merry Christmas. I did the straight line stitching myself. All I can say is that this quilt was made with alot of love!

Construction & Emergency Worker Quilt for ACB

Here is a quilt I finished and sent onto our youngest grandson for his birthday. He was excited to receive it!

Rescue Dog Quilt

Our niece helps rescued dogs find new homes and acclimates them to other dogs including her own within her home. She will often 'dogsit' to help older or senior dogs who have lost owners learn to trust new owners. She is an angel to help out these animals. Hope to send out this week!

Kitty Quilt

I created this kitty quilt in 2019 for a niece. This is the work in process.

This is the finished one long arm done by Stone Soup Batiks in Michawaka, IN.
